Although currently up and running for limited users, the new Agency Referral Site will officially go full steam ahead on August 1, 2007. Designed and created in-house with a culmination of ideas from staff, volunteers and agencies, the new system will enable agencies to forgo the unreliability of fax machines and submit all information online - helping both the speed in which we can add clients to the system and reducing the amount of paper used in the process.

Training and a warehouse tour was conducted for over 50 referring agents on location at 5111 Chase Ave., Downers Grove. Led by Anne Compton and Ryan Varju, Sharing Connections' staff, the participating agency representatives were treated to a discussion of enhancements coming to the client program. Included in the enhancements is a new online site dedicated to making it easier and more secure for agencies while offering various online tools to best serve the needs of both agencies and clients.

Some of the improvements introduced to the crowd include lower access fees, more choice and probably most important - guaranteed beds. As of August 1st, the new program will be in full swing - with all future requests received via the new site.
